Meet, greet, observe and sign

I met with some fellow allotment growers to check out our potential plot. "Potential" being something I needed to apply in bucket loads as it was incredibly overgrown, unloved and abandoned, but as is commonly known beauty should never be evaluated on exterior alone, what lies within our core under the layers is what truly matters.

That was the case with this plot, to a quick blink eye, all you would see is an overgrown entanglement of thorny bushes, sea's of dense grass, veg/fruit patches now hostage to varying weeds and a plastic bench slowly being consumed to an out of control blackberry Bush.

To an eye and mind cabable of more then a quick scan , turn of the heel and goodbye, there was a treasure trove of goodies waiting to be discovered. An abundance of fruit bushes, redcurrant, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry and a couple of apple trees, all here ready to be given a bit of care. And the sheer size of this plot once removed off all things weed related , not to mention a scalping with a mower was vast , so without hesitation I signed the contract and for a year at least we have ourselves an allotment.
